Can't believe it.......... posting on two consecutive days! Here is a very simple clean & fresh card, doing the layers of white hurts your eyes but I quite liked the simplicity of the design and thought could be used for a sympathy card, or christening card quiet easily.

Competition
Yesterday I spend a crafting afternoon and evening with my friend Caroline - we had great fun - we go to a monthly card making group and this months challenge was to make an Olympic themed card - our meeting is not until tomorrow but here is a sneaky look at our offering......
Shoes
So much has been going lately and only a small amount of that time dedicated to crafting - however made up for it over the past few days. Tried out my new Clarity stamps with my friend Joan and here is the result!
Barbara Gray from Clarity Stamps has to have the credit for the idea of the design, beautiful stamps which I think will be used often.

Chalks
Another new technique for me is using versamark on a stamp, transfer onto paper then colour in using chalks, the chalk is set by the versamark so doesn't come off. You can then add stamped images to draw out picture. Pleased with my first attempt........
Water stamping
I have been trying out this technique, cover cardstock with distress inks (works better with darker colours), stamp background image but instead of using ink stamp using water, as it dries the water lifts the colour away - I love it
Then using that as your background stamp a foreground as you wish

New Room
I have not been blogging for a while as I have been sorting out my craft room, finally have cupboards instead of everything on the floor - it is still an ongoing project as I have yet to find homes for everything but my OCD is functioning well on order and process!!!

Rainy Sundays
What do you do on a rainy Sunday? - yes, you play. This is my first real go at creating a messy background which is something of a challenge for me as I usually have a neater more calculated approach
I have to say I enjoyed the experience and now just have to work out how to keep the card flat as water certainly makes it have a life of it's own!

The Wedding Album
Well, my sisters album is coming along with another 2 pages completed. The Anna Griffin papers are so beautiful to use I am really enjoying this task!
The picture of them dancing was taken by the river in the reeds - the photogragher really captured how they felt on the day.

This is the only picture I have of my Grandma so I wanted to do something special, my very good friend Jackie brought me this beautiful Anna Griffin Kit which was perfect for the job.
The pleating was a challenge for a beginer but I got there in the end as this pack contains brilliant step by step instructions

Well the easter weekend was a wash out as far as the weather was concerned, was I down hearted? No....my friend came for a Crafty Weekend and we stamped, glued, glittered, drank tea and chatted having a lovely time.....
I used the Indigo Blu flitter glue for the first time WOW.........
here is a sample using Stampin Up stamps, chalk inks for the flower I did the reeds with the flitter glu and which stuck the gold leaf on perfectly
My friend made this card.......
the stamp is from Indigo Blu, it has fantastic detail and looks brilliant
Well finally the finished pages...............
I can already see how I could have done this differently so I must be learning.
The picture of my sister taking one last look back as a singleton has to be my favorite and although 9 years have passed since that day I still remember her excitment thinking about how her life was about to change

March 17th CROP........................
I joined a group of Scrapbookers for their monthly get together at Felixstowe
It was a really good day with lots of chat, scrapping and tea drinking, I managed to get started on a double page for my sisters wedding album........
.........the day really got me going on Scrapbooking and I'm looking forward to the next crop.
Have a look at Sunday Scrappers on Create & Craft for some good tips - last week they talked about using layers to make pictures really pop (wish I'd heard that before sticking it down!!)

It's been a while since I have had time to update my pics - here is a very simple but I think effective card. The stamp from a from Stampin Up set. Stamped onto Kraft Cardstock and smaller pieces of scrap white card stock to compliment the colours of the background card. A very quick card but I think a good result.
